Hello Ludovic,
The different partitions offsets should be listed in the line CMDLINE, after something like:
mtdparts=rk29xxnand:0x00002000@0x00002000(misc),0x00004000@0x00004000(kernel),0x00002000@0x00008000(boot),0x00004000@0x0000A000(recovery),0x00080000@0x0000E000(system),0x00082000@0x0008E000(backup),0x0003a000@0x00110000(cache),0x00080000@0x0014a000(userdata),0x00002000@0x001ca000(kpanic),-@0x001cc000(user)
This lists:
- the MTD partition name between ()
- the partition size before the @
- the offset before @
To make the job easier, you can also use Steve's perl script on our WIKI: http://www.arctablet.com/wiki/index.php/Rksp

./an10g2_dump.pl and when I run I get this:
Reading parameters ...
Size of parameters is 0
CRC = 00000000
i don't find adb - part of the Android tools and i don't dump my tablet.
Please check the perl script, you'll need to uncomment the third line so it actually dumps the firmware.
# $DUMP=1;#Uncoment to actually dump the partitions, otherwise dry run, ie parse parameters

I uncomment the line and i have the same message

I don't remember of any other details to get Rksp_an10g2_dump.pl to work. I'll try to have a look later when my dev. Linux box is available.
You can try to dump the images manually using
using my recommendations in post #2.

http://www.tracker-web-site.com/videos/lazer-a101c-auchan-comment-rooter-avec-market.html
that for the tablet must download the firmware arn10g2-23-01.zip
The unpacked file update.img has a size of 80,494,692 bytes, I want to know which file on my tablet it is:
MACHINE_MODEL:AN10G2-LZ

because there is no file on my tablet that matches the size of update.img

Your Lazer A101c is the same product as the Arnova 10 G2 (capacitive) but has a different machine identifier (AN10G2-LZ vs AN10G2) so the normal firmware upgrade procedure with update.img can't be used (the Arnova firmware will be refused). The Lazer firmware should be very similar execpt from (I suppose) the boot logo at the start.
Having a dump from your Lazer will help you to restore it as default, could be useful if you have problems with it and need to send it for repair.
Your update image can be installed following the normal Arnova firmware update procedure: http://arnovatech.com/support/firmware.html?country=ua&lang=en&g=2
or you can use Rockchip Flashing tool that is a more low level tool that will flash it ignoring the machine identifier. You can also flash any Arnova 10 G2 firmware on your Lazer with this tool, that basically what is explain in your link.

because my system.img size is 268 435 456 bytes and the update.img is very different the size is 80 494 692 bytes.
because there were people who had bricked their tablets
and then they could not access their tablet firmware

2012/04/17

Is there a risk to use the firmware arn10g2-23-01.zip on my tablet.
and how to go back to my old system with my dump if the tablet is bricked
I prefer to get all the information before I started and this is irreversible.
And I can no longer make use of the tablet.
otherwise I research how to mount the firmware see the layout of files and understand how the root is done (unlock)

If you have a proper dump of your Lazer backup image, you'll have no problem to get back to it. I can check your firmware when I have some time, probably this week end, but I cannot tell for sure. Just send the image file over (use a file upload service if needed: http://demo.ovh.com/)
After flashing an Arnova 10G2 firmware, you'll need to use Rockchip flashing tools to restore your Lazer firmware, because your device that will now be considered as an Arnova tablet will refuse to flash a firmware from another model (Lazer).
Also, arn10g2-23-01.zip is a rather old firmware, you have more recent firmwares from here or our Arnova 10 G2 forum.
Cheers.

I research how people have made possible the root of arnova10G2 to adapt it to my tablet Lazer A101C. and I will send you dump files:http://demo.ovh.com/fr/1e854e563222ec1e95ae774c1ac833cc/

I tried the script http://www.arctablet.com/wiki/index.php/Update_tablet_using_Linux, but I get an error that appears:
rksp_flash_tablet.pl is the directory containing the files img.
help me please
By comparing the two files,
I saw that there were some differences
