Can you still access the SDE menu ?
My son has a Childpad Arnova (Model Number AN7DG3B), and trying to install a new firmware for having google play, I bricked it (I think I used a wrong firmware version).
Now the only status I can reach is for having it recognized as a vimicro disk (VDrf).
Do you think you can help me in unbricking it ?
If you think so, you can give me the details for the donation via Private Mail and I'll proceed for it.
Hello, i am very busy at this moment, and i have to put this project on a stall.
There is a guide posted here on the forum regarding the vimicro state and how to recover the tablet from there.
@Peggy_zhou, The project is actually on, and working, it has been like that in the past year almost.
I have an Arnova 8b G2 totally bricked after flash the ICS firmware of this site. The tablet was unusable, it shows the logo and reboot in loop. I try to repair flashing the official firmware for 8 G2 in Aronova website and a few more but without success. Can you help me with the official firmware for 8b G2? I will reward
Due to the large number of soft-unbricking/flashing requests we want to establish a new type of service.
It is about a remote service, where the staff from arctablet.com will remotely TRY to solve your device via a remote connection (VNC, TeamViewer).
We want to start this because the majority of the people:
- are not reading the guides for flashing,
-are not having the necessary knowledge/time/will to finish a flashing procedure
To have an idea of what we are proposing, have a look here http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-7c-g2-android-firmware-development/need-help-to-flash-im-here-1/
As you can see I helped a couple of people, but because the amount of time allocated to each unbrick/flashing it was more than 1 hour sometimes, I decided to stop project.
Those devices that I have repaired where supposed to be sent back to Arnova for repairs, so I saved a lot of people money and time.
Sadly for all my work I have not received not even one donation, which was another reason to stop the project due to lack of motivation.
I will do this in my free time.
I can not be held responsible for any broken devices during the flashing process.
I will do my best in recovering already broken devices, but this does not means that is a guarantee that your device will be repaired.
- 5 £ or equivalent of this amount in other currency, eg: 8 US dollars, 6 Euros. for a ROM flashing
-10£ or equivalent of this amount in other currency, eg 16 US dollars, 12 Euros for unbricking
CHANGE OF CONDITIONS ! READ !!!
Well, I fixed some people tablets, and somehow they forgot that they need to donate the little sum of 5 Pounds.
How it will be from now on ?
-donation first, after which I will respond to the query
-if I don`t manage to fix/flash/repair/recover your tablet, the donation will be returned
-I also accept tablets sent by post for those who are from UK, as long as they pay for the postage.
Please do understand that a recovery/flashing process can take from 10 minutes up to 2-3 hours, in that time I am coming up with new approaches/ideas,ways to fix your tablet.
If you think that I should do this for free, then you should fix yourself the tablet.
People that have forgotten to donate after I fixed their tablets.
m0dcm - time spent 2-3 hours. (flash successful)
joshuauk - time spent = around 2 hours (flash successfull)
There at least 2 others, but I don`t remember the names.
If your name is here, you know what to do .
I would like to know if I could use your services (paypal donation of course) to unbrick my ARCHOS 101 Xenon - 16 GB tablet.
I don't know why but Archos won't provide me any firmware for this tablet to download and flash (I can actually enter the recovery menu) and Archos told me to send it to a service point. The tablet is still under warranty, yet I no longer have my purchase receipt, and the service asked me more money than the value of the tablet itself.
In conclusion, I would be more than happy if you could try and help me.
As I might have mentioned, if I do turn on the tablet it loops on the boot screen, yet I can successfully access recovery menu.
I have pretty much retired from this project tough try to send me a email in the weekend, maybe i have time to have a look on it.
