Archos has just announced the Child Pad, an affordable 7 inches Android tablet dedicated to kids usage. The tablet will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and will be powered by a 1 GHz processor and 1 Gb of RAM.

Archos has designed a specific easy to use graphical user interface for young users with colored icons and folders on the homepage offering a direct access to games, learning tools and 28 best applications for kids such as Angry Birds©, Pig Rush© or Flight Frenzy ©. A dedicated kids applications marketplace based on Appslib (Archos own Market place) will help to add new games and applications.
