Not sure if you are refering to the Arnova 10 or Arnova 10 G2, they have the same power plug anyway.

Arnova power output is 5v, 1.5 A, I don't think they are selling 12v charger.

Third parties should sell them, I believe this one works with the included Nokia 3.5 mm plug.

I'll double check, there are probably other vendors for compatible plugs.

Why not get a cheap AC Inverter [c.£10] for the in-car "cigar lighter" point, and use the standard charger which came with the tablet?

Well, this is also an option, but converting DC to AC then to DC is maybe not the most efficient thing, plus some cheap inverters do not product clean/stable currents, some even tend to fry electronic circuits.
Probably won't happen, as the tablet charger is not very demanding.

Well, I'll continue my search for chargers options, I'll post updates here.

Ebay is your friend on this. I just bought a spare AC adapter and a Car Adapter from a place in California and both arrived in no time and both work well. But be forewarned, there are some selling the same items and they ship (or are sold from China or Hong Kong) and you have more to mess with. Company I dealt with is a top rated seller and answered all my questions. Be well.
