The home screen icon stuff fix for resistive ChildPad should be released quite soon(maybe even tomorrow). For now(or people with capacitive versions for which Archos didn't release a fw which fixes that), if you can't wait, you can use the fix which I suggested you on the blog article. Just removing the default_workspace.xml from /system/.
Hello, thank you for this trick to fix icon on home screen . It was a big trouble to me...

I'm preparing a test firmware with extended space for /data, which ChildPad do you have capacitive or resistive ?Please make sure Rockchip flashing tool is working with your ChildPad as you'll need it to flash the firmware.
Cheers.
Hi everybody. I still have a probleme with Rockchip. When I plug my an7dg3st-cp (ChildPad Alvin Resistive) in recovery mode to my PC in Win7 64bit, the action to select the driver in Rockchip folder doesn't work. It always says "no driver found for your device". I've read the instruction in the topic : I'm selecting the folder for Win7 64bit drivers ! So, what can I do ?
The easyway updating image works, OK, but I won't be able to increase partition to 1 Gb if I don't use Rockchip...
Any ideas ? I can check to do the operation in an other computer, which is not in win7 64bit ?

The drivers provided with the rockchip flashing app are needed for flashing reasons. When I was struggling to get it flashed myself, I also faced a moment where it was showing the google recovery state (dead android) and my Vista was asking for drivers. AN7DG3ST-CP drivers. None of the rockchip drivers worked.
But this is the solutioin.
- Always make sure to have the flashing app on the foreground.
- Connect the childpad with the USB
- Shutdown the childpad
- Enter a paperclip in the reset hole and press the power for 2 seconds then release it.
- Your childpad shows a black screen.
- If the needed rockchip drivers are not present it will ask them (at this moment the provided drivers will work)
- Check the left upper block in the Rockflash application to become green. If green start flashing.
Hope this helps.
Is it possible to make the calibration permanent?
I tried quickly before hitting the bed based on my android experience on Windows Mobile devices. But it seems the ts-calibration file in /system/etc/calibration, did not do the trick.
I know the values should be :
3619,3693,3668,0343,0431,3663,0404,0324,1998,2012
While rebooting next files remained present also containing the calibration parameters.
root@android:/sys/class/touchpanel # ls
calistatus
touchadc
touchcheck
root@android:/sys/class/touchpanel # cat touchcheck
TouchCheck:3619,3693,3668,343,431,3663,404,324,1998,2012
