Hello,

I just flashed my ChildPad with the firmware you provided using Rockship Flashing (because the ChildPad was stuck). However I lost all of the applications.

From where can get the original firmware since it is not (yet) on Arnova site.

Many thanks for your great job!

The stock 3rd party applications are not part of the firmware. While you can download them all manually from AppsLib, you can also download them(with all the other stock files) from Arnova ftp(if I am not mistaken, it was ftp://support.arnovatech.com , but can't check that for now). Just download the hdd content for the resistive, it should be the same and copy it over to your ChildPad.

Hello together,

one more question regarding original firmware.

A few days ago i've bought a childpad (without alvin) and the first thing was to flash a custom firmware, after some problems everything went fine and tablet is working without problems. Today i noticed that my display is having some dead pixels so i have to bring back the tablet to the store to get it replaced. So now i'm facing the problem that i have no original firmware to revert to. On the arnova website is only the alvin version for download and by using this the touchscreen stops working. So does anyone knows where to get an non alvin original version for the childpad with capacitive display ?

Many thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, at the moment, Arnova hasn't released a non-Alvin childpad fw version yet...

Probably the new capacitive model is quite recent....

And probably, in the future, they'll be obliged to release or two separated fw or one multiple fw for all the versions on the various markets.

Hi

I just flashed stock fw from Arnova site.

Google Play etc is gone but in the About settings screen the Kernel says "root@sc-development-android #205".

Does this show it was rooted ? Or does it say "root" on the stock kernel ?

Thanks

Rob
