I have the custom ICS ROM installed on my childpad (the version with 1 GB free internal space).
Since quite a while many apps can't be installed or updated. The error message is "not enough space" (the exact - German - phrase is "Nicht genügend Speicherplatz verfügbar").
I'm not conviced that this is the problem, because a) it also happens for apps with just 200 kb and b) looking at the partitions via "df" in a terminal app showed this
Filesystem Size Used Free Blksize
/dev 399.8M 36.0K 399.7M 4096
/mnt/asec 399.8M 0.0 K 399.8M 4096
/mnt/obb 399.8M 0.0 K 399.8M 4096
/system 331.0M 243.1M 87.9M 1024
/data 503.9M 356.9M 147.0M 4096
/cache 112.4M 6.4 M 105.9M 4096
/mnt/sdcard 2.1 G 376.1M 1.7 G 8192
/mnt/external_sd 29.7G 1.5 G 28.3G 32768
Doesn't look to me as if there was no space for apps less than 1 megabyte in size.
At the same time when such an install/update fails there's always an entry like this in the logcat
no content provider found for permission revoke: file:///data/data/com.android.providers.downloads/cache/downloadfile-5.apk
I have no idea what that means. Maybe that's more like a follow-up error than the cause. It's just that this always is in the log when the error occurs.
Does anyone have an idea? Or even better a solution? Currently I can't install/update any google apps or Freeciv, SuperSU etc.
Thanks in advance,
