Hello to all

I've been trying to buy a new chilpad, capacitative model for my child, who's birthday is aproaching, but in europe i can't find  any retailer who has them in stock, namely the capacitative model, and fully working.

I had an order on amazon germany, with some acessories for it, i've received the accessories, but they can't deliver the Pad. All the stocks were planed to be filled by 31 Oct, but now they don't have it, and don't know when it will arrive.

My question is does Archos, or Arnova what whatever name the company has, still has to made them or is this model discontinued, and will not be availabe anymore?

If anyone has news about this, please, reply.

Best Regards.

I don't think there is any official word from Archos/Arnova on the subject, but they probably have some stock issue. The company have a not so good history about product availability (specially at product launch time), plus they may have some cash flow issues delaying the tablet production and availability.

The situation seems to be pretty similar for the ChildPad in many areas, it's probably a matter of a few days/weeks til they refill the ChildPad stock, unless they really announce the product is end of life, which I'd seriously doubt.

Cheers.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B007ZYXR9A/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new

the price is huge :D

99 pounds, the stock will be available in mid nov.

everywhere seems to be out of stock.

probably aa shipment is on the way.

in the worse case you could buy the 7 g3 and flash the firmware from the childpad.

Actually, that's right, the deal between Arnova and ToysR'us (named tabeo tablet in the US) may have some kind of impact on the ChildPad stock.

Small correction about globula's info, it's the Arnova 7d G3, not the 7 G3 which should be hardware compatible with the ChildPad.

Cheers.
