Hi,

Unfortunately there is no firmware available for the Vimicro version of the ChildPad, you can refer to this forum topic here:

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/archos-arnova-childpad/tabeo7dg3-cant-get-into-recovery-mode/page-4/

I recommend you to contact Arnova or Tabeo support asking for the stock firmware...

After many months of researches and contacts, I finally found the recovery tools of the Vimicro CHILDPAD tablet and gave her life another time.

Note: to install GOGLE PLAY you have to:
1) Root the tablet with "KingRoot"
2) Follow up the steps presents in this video:

Hello fkruis and nunoit,

you will find in attachment a document that explain how to flash the firmware that I shared.

I would like to precise that the method of flashing and the firmware concern only the ChildPad whose reference is  AN7DG3B  (I hope that you have understood what I mean)

If after this explanation you still have a problem to flash your tablet, please, before asking me anything,  give me the reference of your tablet.

ARNOVA | 7K G3

MODEL# AN7DG3C

FCC:ID SOVAN7DG3C

its not listed as the child pad but it looks identical externally and internally to the child pad other than the logo on the cover.

i just tried this update with my laptop running win 7 no luck could be laptop. what operating system are you using windows xp, vista, 7, ?.  i am looking at the possibility that the os makes a difference.

Hello nunoit,

I don't have big idea about this model AN7DG3C, but are you sure that your tablet is vimicro not rockchip childpad? If you are sure, the MPtool must recognize your device and you have to repeat correctly the steps shown is the word file that i shared (use the original usb cable, if you loss it try with Samsung ones)

My tablet is recolonized us VDfu storage device  by vista and win 7 OS.

hello,

i need help with my Arnova Childpad (Vimicro Model). It doesnt boot up anymore, but remains at the ARNOVA boot screen. I want to flash or reset firmware.

I can connect it to the pc and make it being recognized as a special drive by using the internal button. But then, what do i have to do?

Can someone please help me out with a step by step explanation on how i can flash the firmware. Also where can i find the software that i need ( including mptool ) ? Confused

EDIT---

ok, i was able to flash my childpad now using MPTOOL and the firmware given by -LOT75- .

So at least the tablet boots up again. Problem is, as others mentioned here, the screen alignment. And the orientation sensor isnt working correctly, means screen is turned around by 180 degrees...

anyone knows a better solution or how to fix those screen issues?
