I have two Childpads that I can't turn on.

They have been completely discharged before charging again. Have been charging for almost 24 hours without any other response than red light for charging. They can't turn on.

I have tried both charging with the plug and with the USB charger.

They can't turn on in flashing/recovery mode either.

Both Childpads stopped working at the same time. They were Christmas presents for two girls of 5 and 8 years and have been working until for a week ago.

Any surgestions please?

I had the same problem. Here's the solution:
You have to take a charger with 2 amps.
For me and my colleagues that helped.

When the battery is completely empty, the original charger is too weak to charge the tablet.

@globula_neagra

The ChildPads didn't give any sign of life at all when I connected them to the computer.

@stevedee

Just found my charger for my Iphone to see if it works for me - I keep my fingers crossed!

How long time did it take for you until you where able to turn your ChildPad on?

I took the plug for the Iphone and connected it with the USB cable for the computer. Do you think it will be OK?

It didn't work with the plug for my Iphone and the cable for the ChildPads.

I will try to find another adapter with 2 amp.

@stevedee

Now I have recieved a new charger with 5 volt 2 amps.

I have been charging for 7 hours and are still unable to turn the Childpads on.

How long did you charge your ChildPads before getting any response on charging them with the other charger?

Nothing seems to work

I will leave the charger on for the night and try again in the morning.

Otherwise I will have to return them to the shop to be repaired. Just funny that they are both acting the same!

That I'm sorry, I could not help you. The only good thing is that you get two new ones. You can also take the money and two of "Acer Iconia B1" buy for the same money.

I will think about the option to buy another kind of tablet for the children instead.

Now I have another Childpad with problems. My son's Childpad now has a broken speaker. Now we have 3 out of 4 Childpads that are going to be send back to the webshop.

I have just written them an email with questions ex. about returning the Childpads.

Do you by any chance know if the Acer Iconia B1 fits into the silicone cover for the Childpads?
