Hi everybody!
I have bought an Arnova Childpad capacitive 4 GB for my boy. The model number is: AN7DG3 model ref no:502170
So the problem is I can download and install apps from google play. I know this device is limited but I have found it on this forum that is possible to install a different firmware to make it work. So I`m new with this and I don't want to ruin the tablet straight away. So I need a step by step help from how to back up the device first and how to install the new firmware..
I have tried to make a backup but in the tablet menu backup and reset is only the factory reset option so I don't know how to make a backup first?
I know that it had been explained a lot how to do it but I need straight step by step instructions. Sorry:)))
Thank You!

You should first read this
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/archos-arnova-childpad/cp-model-fw-compatibility/
Here you will find the flashing procedure
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featured/arnova-childpad-custom-firmware-google-play-root/
You can back-up your tablet if you have linux using this
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/firmware-development/dumping-firmware-on-arnova-g2-arnova-g3-and-other-rockchip-based-tablets/
Or on windows to make a dump, you need to have root, but this is not the case here.

As i said, it is not the case, we don't have a root method available for Arnova Childpad, only for Archos Cobalt there is one that des not involves flashing.
The only way to dump(have a backup) the firmware from the CHildpad is using linux.

Hello everybody!
I have installed the kasty-arnchilpadc-40-050d-2G image file.I have copied into the tablet and updated the system. The installation was ok and the tablet works fine but I have no wifi.
And I have downloaded the image which was tested by another user on the same UK model.
So what can I do to make the wifi work again?

Hi. Well I have tried to install the 40-050f-2G version again. I have found out that not this version was wrong for my tablet but the way how I have installed it. It seems like is not working if you just copy the image file into the tablet and update.I had to install with Rockchip Bath Tool and now everything is working fine.
Thank You for your help.
