Hello, i have also updated a childpad to this version, but i have a strange issue. First of all i see that battery is fast discharged and second, if i power off the device ( i mean complete power off, not in sleep ), the battery keeps draining...

For example i had power off with battery 70% and when i make it on, was 57%...

Please, is there something i can do for these problem?

Please ignore this post... I have tested and battery works fine... more than 4h video playback.... the problem was that i have used an other charger... this tablet charging only with the charger that is provided.

Hi there - I installed the jelly-bean firmware, but the touch screen no longer works.  Do you have any fixes or ideas why this might be.  It's a childpad capacitive device, and i wanted to install Google Play so I could put games on the device (which is an xmas present) for my son that aren't available on the standard firmware.

It will work fine if you replace existing kernel.img file in package with this file

http://zarth.de/kernel.img

You should be aware although that your WiFi connection might not work (there are 2 newer models (newer than Chipmunks models) and on some aside touch function there are problems with wifi connection). In that case you can only take this custom firmware from admin http://www.arctablet.com/blog/downloads/firmware/ArnovaChildPad/kasty-arnchilpadc-40-050f-2G.zip

For people with wifi problems this is at the moment only working firmware

Do you know if either will make USB debugging work?

It didnt work for me but why do you need usb debugging? I was able to access all system files and folders on ChildPad via Root Explorer (you must have also have SUperUser installed but it comes by default with all custom firmwares) and could for example change density of screen without installing any specific launchers...

I actually use mine for development and not entertaining a child, so adb is a must :)

The new Kernel fixed the touch issue with my ChildPad (Bunny Edition) it now runs faster and the battery last longer. Only bugs are that where as before side loaded Angry Birds all worked now they just black screen and close. Any ideas what this could be causing the crash?

That is an issue on all the rk2918 tablets, the people should gather and start making complaints on the developers of angry birds, since they did the last updates, the apps made by them are not working anymore on the rk2918 plaftorm.
You can still get some older apps from ApssLib, those versions will work.

I have flahed two childpads an both are nearby death.

After flashing the devices didn't start up, now they do nothing????

Devicemanager shows Class for rockusb devices/RK29 Device.

The power button and reset button gives a dis-/connection sound on the pc but nothing happens

EvolutionRKtool shows “Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb" I can flash but nothing happens.

RKBatchTool don't recognize the devices.

Has someone a solution???

the many last posts have been people from people flashing then no luck and then post.

Its not to be rude but do or have any of you read the 4 pages of posts just at this topic before flashing

Have you made yourself familiar with the flashing process and made sure the tablet is found correct before flashing

Or do you just do it?
And when u post .... Do you describe how you flashed, what you checked and unchecked?
The more you describe what you have done and not done the easier it is for us to help you guys.

BUT help yourself first. READ BEFORE YOU FLASH

I always reed the instructions and replys before I flash.

I have flashed the child pads with root aand google playstore in august.

I have today flahed two Galaxy tabs and on htc Trophy (no android). And a long time ago htc Diamond to android.

I have  done wat is dicribe in the first post.

- set the device to flash mode

- install the usb drivers from Rockchip_ _Tool_v1.5

- starting EvolutionRKtool (AN7DG3-CP20121012OMA4.1)

- I choose the first times "parameter-15G" and later"parameter-1G" from the loader map

- The default image files from AN7DG3-CP20121012OMA4.1

- Check Parameter, Misc, Kernel, Boot, Recovery and System

- EreaseIDB

- Run

Both childpads are now running after 10 flashes ore more in don't no what the problem is or was.

Can parameter-15G be the problem?

I flashed my Childpad yesterday coming from the ICS version with root and playstore access. The procedure runs fine, no problems with WiFi or the touchscreen. The only issue i have is that the system is not wroking smoothly as before the update. It lags all over the time (e.g. drawer, etc.). Is this normal or did anything run wrong?
