Thanks for your feedback.

Soldering a cable, you mean you made on yourself (DIY) ? Do you mind sharing which wiring you used ?

Cheers.

Hi neomode,

I have a 3G HUAWEI E1752Cu and a HostMode Cabel.

When I connect the stick in my son's resistive ChildPad I get the message SDCard broken (there is not inserted microsd inside the stick) and the GSM icon apeears without net connectivity.

No APNs appears in the list and when i try to add one the tablet doesn't save it.

When I try to search the movile networks, an error message appears about searching networks or no networks found.

I'd tried the commands AT^U2DIAG=0 and AT^U2DIAG=256 in the stick with worst results. The 3G icon only appears with default configuration of the AT.

I dunno if my problem is in the tablet or in the 3G stick...

Could you specify how you did to connect the E15050? Wich version of rom is runing your tablet?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Manel;

I am think i know what your Problem is with the Data Stick.

The Data Stick has a Function called "Zero-Conf" that´s means when you Plug in the Stick to your Computer

you will see a USB Stick.

From this USB Stick you can Install the Drivers & Software for the Stick. This is the Problem it´s Online work on Windows,

the Stick will not Switch to Normal Mode until the Software is Installed.

This is the Reason why the Stick not Working on your Tablet. But i have a Solution for you.

1.: Plug you Stick in a Windows PC and Install the Software.

2.: Check in Device Manager which Com Port is assigned to you Modem.

3.: Download "Putty"

4.: Close every Program related to modem.

5.: Run Putty.

6.: Click Serial and Change the Port Number to your Modem.

7.: Click Open

8.: Write ATZ and press Enter, modem should Answer ok.

9.: Write ATI and press Enter, modem should Answer Model & ID.

10.: AT^U2DIAG=0 and press Enter, zero CD is now Disabled.

11.: Plug it again in Childpad and try it, and i think now it will Work.

With AT^U2DIAG=0 when i plug the stick in Windows only the modem option appears but in Android i have the same result, gsm icon appears only during one second.

Now in Windows when i plug the stick only the blue led (modem led) switches on but in Android the secuence is:

  - first the green led (usb led) switches on

  - the blue led switches on and the gsm icon appears

  - gsm icon dissapears after 1 second and the green led switches on again forever.

Why Android try to open usb mode of the stick???? What do you have in the stick usb root folder?

Hello Manel

Ok, let me think about.

I think like in Linux, the Tablet not know that Device at GSM Modem.

So we have to add it on the Tablet.

First a Question what Kind of Firmware do you use ?

Hello Manel,

So maybe i have a Solution for You.

By Typing AT^U2DIAG=256 you Disable the Internal Flash on the Stick, but he searching for the

Firmware on the SD Card you can put in your Stick.

Try the folloing

Give the Modem the Command AT^U2DIAG=268 that Enable the Stick Memory Again.

Then Type AT^U2DIAG=0

Retry it on Your PAD.

The same result.

I think I will buy a wifi stick router... I've seen that the battery consumption is too high in the table with the stick connected...

Yes it will work with the USB Hub.

But think on it the USB Devices can only get 500mA, so the best Solution is a Self Powerd USB Hub.
