Hi, I'm very new hear and i'm hoping for quick replies as i've made a mess and need it fixed for christmas. okay, so I bought an arnova childpad for my daughter (ref: 502170) and tried to flash over the firmware for google play (kasty-arnchilpadc-40-04) however, now the touch screen doesn't work. any suggestions on how to get it working again?? also, can someone tell me how to put it into flashing mode, as i am having trouble with that as well, thankyou.

EDIT: Also, when plugged in and I press the rest button, my windows makes the initial connecting sound, then like a dun dun dun..any ideas?

yes applib u just go to that place via your browser and then u install it from there.

If you dont succeed i can mail you the apk file from applip

But here is the link u need to go to in your Childpads browser

appslib.com/latest

info taken from this site

http://appslib.com/download/index.html

edit: direct link to the apk file so you can download it

http://files.appslib.com/apps/marketplace/v2/Appslib_2.apk

Had the same problem after flashing my own ChildPAd.

The app's and other files orginally on the Childpad can be downloaded from the link below

ftp://support.arnovatech.com/

If you flash the Pad and copy the "system" folder to the root of the unit, all the app's will be installed during configuration.

You guys are truly a great help, and so i depart with one last question: The childpad logo on start up - is there any way to change that?

I don't think there is an easy way to change the startup logo.

Actually there are 3 stages of logo display, the first two are located in the kernel and boot images, which require some technical knowledge to edit. The third part and longest to display logo (usually it's a small animation made of a few pictures) goes to /system/media/bootanimation.zip file.

You should be able to find some tools to make one on the Internet and a root file explorer to copy the new file on your tablet.

Cheers.
