ARCHOS has published a firmware update for the Cobalt on their website.

The firmware can be installed either by copying the firmware to the internal storage or using rockchip tool.
This is not a rooted firmware, it is the stock formware from ARCHOS.
The first start-up will take about 2 minutes.
