rvkrishnakumar, you have been a great help. Everything works great now and the tablet is running more smoothly and faster than ever.

Awesome. :-)

semistultus,

I also rooted and installed Novo9-spark stock ROM and TWRP 2.6 successfully but LOST EVERYTHING when I installed the custom ROM AOKP.zip from C Troy for the first time.

On first install of TWRP once rebooted into TWRP recovery, I then did a wipe/factory reset BEFORE install of zip as per video instructions on Slatedroid. There is no record of the reboot, system wipe is for TWRP 2.4 not 2.6?

I dare not do it again because there is no proper install instructions provided and I had problems getting my device back working so my question is...

What steps did you do to get a successful install of your custom zip without losing everything?

I would like to write a fail-safe protocol so I never forget, your comments would be most helpful.

Note for those readers still stuck on unbricking their novo9-spark device:
1 Run stock-rom.img through Pheonixsuit v 1.06, open .img, then with usb-plug inserted.
2 then keep pressed the vol+ button BEFORE connecting the usb-cable to tablet.
3 Pheonixsuit detects immediately with/without pressing the power button.
4 Release all buttons, click YES to format & install. There is a long delay at 3% and 12%.

Dear Admin, thank you very much for posting the new firmware. The specs appeared to be very similar to that of your latest Onda 972 firmware. Are there any different features between the two?

Thanks

unable to download please advise

We remove older versions to save space on our servers, you should be latest update to download in our Ainol section: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/ainol-tablets/
