New Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update released for the Hyundai T7 quad-core Exynos 4412 tablet (beta 2013/05/03)


One of the best value 7″ tablets available at the moment, the Hyundai T7 has a lot to offer: a powerful quad-core Samsung Exynos 4412 CPU, 1 GB RAM, superb IPS 1280×800 pixels display, HDMI output, WIFI b/g/n, dual camera, Bluetooth and GPS for prices starting at $140 USD / €110 / £91. Initially shipping with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, the T7 already received an Android 4.2.2 update few weeks ago which did not work too well. This new beta release (date 2013/05/03) brings more stability and some other enhancements to the tablet.

    Firmware update procedure

    Installing a new firmware update is simple:
  • unpack the content of this archive and copy all the files to the root of a micro-sdcard
  • power down your Hyundai T7 tablet
  • press Vol- and Power buttons at the same time for two seconds
  • the tablet should start the firmware upgrade process
  • after two minutes the update is finished and the tablet gets shutdown
  • press Power button to start the tablet, this first boot is a little longer than usual (about 1 or 2 minutes)
  • after the boot has finished, enjoy Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on your Hyundai T7 tablet
