Archos is not the only company with Octa-core smartphones priced under 300€. At MWC 2014, UK-based Kazam just announced the Tornado 2 line-up of Smartphones. The two new handsets, the KAZAM Tornado 2 5.5 and the KAZAM Tornado 2 5.0 are the hero devices in the KAZAM portfolio, due to launch across Europe in Q2. The 5.5 version sports a full HD 5.5 inch screen, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM and 13MPx camera, while the 5.0 is slightly less impressive with 720p screen, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM and 8Mpx camera.

While the test devices were running Android 4.2 Jelly bean, there is a chance that the devices will eventaully launch with KitKat. Actually, the Tornado 2 specifications look quite simillar to the Archos 50c Oxygen specifications which will launch in May for 229€. The Kazam models will be available in Q2 for around €250 with the 5.0 being slightly cheaper than the 5.5. What is more, Kazam has a couple of really cool customer service policies. Kazam offers screen repair service and if you break the screen in the first year, you can send it back and kazam will fix it for you for free, the first time you do it. That is simillar to what HTC is offerign with HTC Advantage. Also, if you have trouble with the phone’s software, customer service can remotely take over the phone and troubleshoot for you with KAZAM Rescue program.
