Google has just updated their Android market to version 3.4.4.
This new release is expected to run better on slower devices.
Arctools update
We took this opportunity to refresh Arctools Market support as well.
You should find a new entry in the list (see picture below) on supported devices where we deployed the update (Archos Gen8 and Arnova 10 G2 for the moment)
No Arctools upgrade is necessary, just quit and restart the application if it has running earlier in the day.

there is no 3.4.4 in Arctools 0.78 newest at time of writing. There is only a 3.3.4 version that installs on Archos 10.1IT (Gen8), but then gives out an error when launching the Google Market. Is that because Google Play store took over and the Market is now incompatible hence Gen8 owners are left out holding their tool in their hand? ๐ Or is there a fix? Thanks.
I’ve followed all the intstallation steps which went through no problem. No cache to clear but I deleted data as directed, however sadly I now consistently get “Couldn’t establish a reliable data connection to the server โ this could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues call customer care.” when trying to login using my gmail or google account. Of course the Arnova 10 G2 isn’t provisioned for data services, but others seem to have got this to work, so anyone know what to do next ?
I can’t seem to find if the market install will work on my arnova 10bG2 am I missing it somewhere
For some reason it won’t install the market and apps, i can download them but when i press install the button turns orange and does nothing it has been sitting for about 15 mins. now and nothing, if i try to touch anything it just asks if i want to force close. i have tried rebooting. HELP PLease!
OK.. I have just quit arctools & loaded it again n again n again… but list is not getting updated, is it bcoz I have rooted using Finless method?!?

So can i use this on a panimage 7″ tablet?
Android Market 3.4.4 should work if you had a previous Market version working.
Arctools won’t help for the Panimage as it is not a supported device for the moment.
how does one refresh arctools?
Just quit the application (using Menu within the application then Exit button). You should get an updated list of package on next restart.

Which tablet are you running Arctools on ?
I do have the same problem with those two errors, Iยดm running it on Arnova 8 G2…:-/

I have the same issues. Error 28 and Error 20. Found and unzipped the Arctool01.zip file and tried manually installing the APK’s in it but they wont all install and the market (Vendor.apk) doesn’t work (can’t configure an account) Device used is a Arnova 8 G2 with 4GB memory.
Any hints or advice are much appriciated.

Android version is 2.3.1 btw, should have mentioned that in the previous post… ๐
