Independent Android 4.0 ICS port on Archos 101 G9

Archos recently presented a preview of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on their G9 devices.
Xda-developers.com forum user Letama has just ported Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) to the Archos Gen9 devices. He used the recent Google Android ICS source code release together with Archos Gen9 Honeycomb source code.

This first alpha version comes with basic hardware support for 3D drivers and touchscreen, there is no WIFI or audio/video support yet. Letama has promised to release his firmware work to the public when he gets WIFI working.

PS: this is not the real boot speed, video has been cut.

While this work is interesting and promising for developers, it is important to note that this custom firmware, in a similar way to UrukDroid on Archos Gen8, will not include Archos Video and Music player applications which use Archos own proprietary and unreleased code.
