Update 04/04: Our sources informed us that the 79 Neon will ship with 1.4Ghz RK3188T quad-core processor (instead of 1.6Ghz RK3188). We updated the article to include the change, other specifications stay the same. |
While Archos announced many new models during the MWC 2014 event, we were still missing a few unannounced ones. One of them was the 79 Neon tablet and today, we are happy to share more information with you. Archos Neon range of tablets is all about offering quad-core tablets and smartphones with complete access to the Google mobile applications and Archos multimedia applications(which are now also ported to all Android 4.1+ devices) combined with the maximum in affordability. Basically, 79 Neon is just another budget tablet from Archos and there is nothing revolutionary. Just like the 90 Neon, it also has a camera on the back and it is the only Neon tablet to feature an HDMI-port.
While pricing and availability are not known for now, we expect it to ship before end of April for a price around 149€.

Yeah, we have seen the 79 Neon passing the FCC. However, our article contains more information so we thought it was not worth mentioning it getting FCC certification.
