While a few months have passed since we revealed the specifications for the 7ob Cobalt and 79 Cobalt models, Archos is finally listing the two models on their website. Not much has changed from our leak back in March and speaking about the models, we are still talking about RK3026 budget tablets with 512MB of RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. If you ask us, Archos is very late with releasing devices with such specifications(2011 calling), but the the tablets should deliver enough power for some basic productivity work. And if the prices stay under 99€, it should not be a very bad deal
The 70b Cobalt is the smaller of the two and comes with an 7 inch screen with 1024×600 resolution.
The 79 Cobalt is slightly bigger and comes with an iPad mini-alike screen of 7.85 inch with 1024 x 768 resolution.
Except for the screen size and the design, the two models share the most technical specifications. They both come with 1 Ghz Dual-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of storage and Android 4.2. Here is the comparison table between the two:
